This month marked the opening of the 6th Prague Biennale, in which Ali Banisadr is exhibiting alongside an international roster of artists. His work The Search, 2012, is featured as part of the centrepiece of this year’s Biennale - Expanded Painting, a show curated by Helena Kontova, which also features the work of artists including Joshua Abelow, Ashley Bickerton, Alberto Garutti, Peter Halley, John Henderson, Florin Maxa, Angel Otero, and Seung-taek Lee.
This year marks the tenth anniversary and sixth edition of the popular Biennale, which is committed to presenting an overview of contemporary artistic practice both in central Europe and worldwide. It takes place at a functionalist railway station in the district of Žižkov that dates back to 1936.
