Several artists represented by Blain|Southern are participating in and alongside this year's 55th Venice Biennale, which runs from 1st June until 24th November. The program for their featured events is as follows:
Ali Banisadr presents his largest work to date with a new triptych 'Fravashi' at Love Me, Love Me Not: Contemporary Art From Azerbaijan and its Neighbours. Other featured artists include: Faig Ahmed, Kutluğ Ataman, Shoja Azari, Ali Hasanov, Orkhan Huseynov, Taus Makhacheva, Farhad Moshiri and Slavs and Tatars, amongst selected artists. Curated by Dina Nasser-Khadivi.
Tim Noble & Sue Webster, Mat Collishaw and Michael Joo exhibit new works at Glasstress:White Light/White Heat, a collateral event of this year's Biennale. They each present works made in glass alongside an international roster of artists including Cai Guo-Qiang, Ilya & Emilia Kabakov, Mona Hatoum, Mariko Mori, Thomas Schutte, and Gavin Turk. This year’s exhibition challenges artists to create works based on the properties of light and heat, fundamental in the creation and manipulation of the medium of glass. Curated by James Putnam and Adriano Berengo.

Jannis Kounellis, Lawrence Weiner, and Gilberto Zorio feature their work in When Attitudes Become Form: Bern 1969/Venice 2013, from June 1 through November 24. The exhbition is presented by the Fondazione Prada at Ca' Corner and is organised by independent curator Germano Celant, with artist Thomas Demand and architect Rem Koolhaas.
A solo exhibition of works by Gilberto Zorio will open at Blain|Southern on 9th August and runs until 28th September.
Lawrence Weiner: The Grace of a Gesture, presented by The Written Art Foundation, curated by Thomas Kellein, Berenberg Art Advice, takes place on the Ground Floor of the Palazzo Bembo.
