The walking tour of the exhibition Anthony Caro at Cliveden will be led by Olivia Bax and Hywel Livingstone, from their unique perspectives as practicing sculptors who have worked as studio assistants to Sir Anthony Caro. They will focus on the way that Caro made the sculptures on display at Cliveden, discussing the tools, space and assistants which Caro had available at the time.
The tour will start at the National Trust’s Cliveden information centre at 11am on Tuesday 24 September. Please note that the tour is free (normal admission charges apply) but RSVP is essential: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Curated by Amanda Renshaw, Anthony Caro at Cliveden presents sixteen monumental works across the Grade I listed grounds, charting Caro’s career and his varied, boundary-pushing approach to sculpture. On view until 10 November 2019, this is the third exhibition presented in collaboration with Blain|Southern at this historic location.
