Works by Jonas Burgert, Mat Collishaw and Joanna Kirk feature in Mir ist das Leben lieber (I Prefer Life) at the Weserburg Museum fur Moderne Kunst. The exhibition is taken from the private collection of Reydan Weiss.
Also including works by Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer, it comprises mostly paintings. Sculpture and photographic works from the likes of Thomas Schütte and Cindy Sherman also feature alongside Joanna Kirk’s pastel painting Benevolent (2012), a rare sculpture by Jonas Burgert puls spur stop / pulse trace stop (2012) and Mat Collishaw's Last Meal on Death Row - a photographic series in the manner of Dutch still-life paintings, featuring dishes chosen by condemned prisoners.
