A new solo exhibition by Nasan TurMemory as Resistance, opens at the Adolfo Pini Foundation, Milan on 30 November. It is the first of a series of contemporary art at the foundation. Curated by Gabi Scardi, the exhibition includes photographic and video works which examine the theme of memory whilst reflecting on social and political power structures. New works include a series of photographs of human rights activists and individuals who have been involved in defending freedom of expression. A new video work features Hrant Dink, the Editor of the bilingual Turkish-Armenian weekly newspaper Agos who was assassinated in 2007 and whose image appears throughout the exhibition.
