Blain|Southern is delighted to announce that we now represent Mexican artist Bosco Sodi, who will have his first exhibition with the gallery in London this April.

Known for his monumental richly textured, vividly coloured paintings which combine raw earthy materials with pure pigment; he is also the cultural force behind Casa Wabi - an art foundation in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Sodi’s influences range from artists of the Art Informel movement such as Antoni Tàpies and Jean Dubuffet, to master colourists such as Willem de Kooning and Mark Rothko, through to the bright hues of his native heritage.

The forthcoming Blain|Southern exhibition will include painting and sculpture. A short film following the process behind some of his most recent work is available to view here
